The Dead Leaf Mantis is a common name given to various species of Praying Mantis that mimic dead leaves.

Although an avid amateur nature and wildlife photographer for almost forty years it was only twelve years ago, when I finally went digital, that I had the idea to start emailing home blogs about our adventures to our grandkids. The list grew over the years as family and friends asked to be included in the adventures.
