Sally Lightfoot crabs are brightly coloured coastal scavengers found in the Galapagos Islands and the coast of South and Central American. They are pretty much the first species you see, even before boarding your ship.
They are an important part of the ecosystem as their diet is very varied, anything from sea lion placenta to other crabs.
They are very agile crabs as they can run in four directions, climb on vertical surfaces, and jump from rock to rock.
Post Office Bay on the island of Floreana is where sailors would leave and gather letters to and from home. Which you can still do today.
